Also ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob sie es einfach vergessen haben, aber ich fand den Zauber in der 2. Edition zumindest gut und fuer Magier die Unterschluepfe haben, oder um Burgmauern immer auszuleuchten perfekt. Hier meine Umsetzung fuer D&D3:

Continual Light
Evocation[Light]
Level: Brd 2, Clr 3,Drd 3, Sor/Wiz 2
Components: V, M/DF
Casting Time: 1 Full Round
Range: Touch
Target: Object touched
Duration: Permanent
Saving Throw: Special
Spell Resistance: Special

This spell causes an Object to glow like a torch, shedding light in a 20-foot radius from the point you touch. The effect is immobile, but it can be cast on a movable obect. It can be used to counter Deeper Darkness or weaker forms of Darkness Spells(each of the Spells is consumed). If it is cast on an opponent it reduces his attack rolls, saving throws and Armor Class by 4. He can avoid the effect with a succesfull Fortitude Save.
Arcane Material Component: A piece of foul flourescent wood.

Have fun with this. :D
